So I was reflecting on who people are. What we like, dislike, how we act and the way we even look. I think of the saying a face only a mother could love, ouch. If I pause to think, I/we are people only God could love. I know that there are people who think I am fabulous/fantastic and other positive multi-syllable words, but when you separate the good from the bad, God still loves the bad part of me. he loves me when I swear, screw up, watch movies that are inappropriate. He doesn't say apologize and than I will love you and feel mushy gushy for you, He just loves me. It is this love that grows in me a desire to change. I don't want to mess up and do hurtful things, I want my lover to have the best not the rest ;)
So this is my challenge to myself and those that would dare to pick it up. Don't judge how God is working in the people around you, believe that He is and love them like He does.
Adventures and musings from a girl who has transformed into a woman called by God to be a warrior and princess in this world.

Sorta Bust and a quick update
I am officially done nursing unless I didn't pass the RN exam. 3 cheers for me.
I have a job at St. Paul's hospital. I like the work, but I love days off:)
I am going to push the 10km to August and hopefully run a 5km this April or May.
I love my friends and miss them dearly, but I love my new friends too.
I got to worship and pray 2 night in a row till 130-2 am and we started at like 1030pm. (I must be a shift worker now.)
I am holding sleep a little looser now and trying to hold Jesus a lot closer. Actually I am trying to hold everything a lot looser.
We had a great discussion about the kingdom of God and what that all means. It was good to talk about sharing what we had and learning to use what God has given us. I think just being more aware is a great way to learning how to share and realize that I own nothing, I am just borrowing it from the Father. Yah it's been a good few days off.

10 km or bust!
There is nothing to motivate sticking to a goal than posting it somewhere the whole world can see. So the plan is to run a 10km race on May 24 I just need to get that day off than I should be good to go:) So far we have walk/run about 4 km according to the tracker I used to map the route we did, so I am feeling like this is doable. Anybody want to jump on the bandwagon? Sarah? Nin?

For the Singles out there
Apparently I have shocked all of my readers in to oblivion by posting 3 blogs in one month.
I have come to a very weird point of surrender in my journey of following God. 10 years ago this past spring God asked me if I was will to be single for the rest of my life. I said yes if that is what you want. I struggled and triumphed and struggled as I walk with God down this wondrous path. I cried out to hm to let me marry or let me die or at least let that desire of marriage die. Either one worked but something had to die. Sometimes he would let me be in relationship whether it be dating or crushes so that I would loathe the counterfeit of His true love.
I have thought of to many men surely he must be the one. I would remind God that I was getting, uh how shall we put this... OLD! or at least compared to his mother who was twelve maybe fourteen. Yes I said I would do whatever. I have tried to like what they like, do what they do and be what they are. You know what I hated it and I would hate them for "making" me be that way, but it wasn't their fault I didn't know who I was. I am now surrendering to who God has made me to be.
I will tell you one thing I like to do. Come close so I can whisper it to you. I love to worship. If I could worship everyday all day for the rest of eternity I would do it. I love acknowledging that God is God no matter what my circumstances appear to be like He knows what is going on.
This week I have come to a place of surrender in my life concerning marriage. I have told God that if I must I will get married. Weird huh?! It is the truth. I told God that if it would serve his purposes more fully and that more people would come to know him through my getting married I would.
I really love being single and doing as I feel the Lord leads. I love that he is my Lover. (no cheesy chistianese intended) I grieve the thought of having to place my trust in a man who I know will let me down because he is like me, human. On the other hand to walk with a man who loves, trusts and hears the Father's voice bring it on.
He wants our heart - Roxane Bell. This is why he asks for things we want and hold onto. Not to be mean but he wants the WHOLE package, not just the box or the inside he wants ALL of it. Insert peace-filled smile here.
Blessing friends.

Dreams
What is my dream? i am discovering that to know my purest dreams I must think back to my childhood. I love to discover and explore. I love finding solutions to problems (which is highly annoying to women who just want me to listen:) )
"If you biggest dream became your life would the world be a better place?" Erwin McManus
If I may be so bold I think mine would:) What is my dream? Well that is a secret for now, but perhaps in the future I will tell you and perhaps your dream will be to partner with me and I can help you make your dreams come true.
Erwin stood up in his church and told all the volunteers that they were released from doing what they felt obligated and could do what gave them passion and inspired them. The leaders watch horrified as their volunteers left them and then watched as new volunteers came and said they had dreamed of being involved with Children, homeless, etc.
That's it for now more to think about.

Sigh!
Well can I get an Amen for how great our God is? I am sitting here in my very warm house looking out the window at the snow that has fallen and feeling reflective. All those things combined means that it is time to write a blog.
I am rediscovering this Sherry Palmer that we have all grown to love and like. Yes this Sherry Palmer is loving her work at The Bridge. Now one would imagine that this means it is quite pleasant and the circumstances are easy. Well let me tell you if your eyes are fixed on Jesus things can still hurt, but you know you have a friend. This week as a staff we have collectively known of 6 deaths of children under 4. Some in the womb and some out. We have also had beautiful opportunities to see God's hand at work. Right now in Africa my friends are seeing people turn to God because of their son's death. Family members are saying if you can praise God through this than maybe I am going to give this God a second chance.
Since being at The Bridge I have had ample opportunities to pray, worship, laugh and cry. I was made for this. I am doing a community health practicum there and it is a blessing beyond measure. Skills and knowledge I have learned outside of nursing have come in very handy. so now with only 2 weeks left I am waiting on my Heavenly Papa to show me the path I shall walk. He is wonderful and I love it when I enter into what He is blessing.
Blessings friends!
